The Donauschwaben are ethnic Germans who settled along the Danube River in Central and Eastern Europe in the 1700s. Their unique culture blends German traditions with regional influences and is preserved through music, dance, language, and community life. The German American Cultural Foundation/United Donauschwaben of Milwaukee (UDoM) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving this heritage, sharing Donauschwaben traditions, language, and customs with the community.
